Did you know that King James of England ordered the Bible to be translated into English so that Christians in every Church in the land could read it through together in a year?
It is now 2014 ... the land is Washington County, Maine ... let's delve into His word and get to know HIM better!

Introducing Phyllis
I'm the pastor at Sawyer Memorial Congregational Church in Jonesport, and this is the first time I have ever written on a blog. I am excited about this new project, and hope you all take the plunge with us!
My name is Ralph Ackley and I should probably introduce myself as well. It's thrilling to be a part of this wonderful blog. I pastor The First Congregational Church of East Machias and The River of God Christian Ministries Assembly of God in Machias. I also teach one-on-one as an Ed.Tech III at Elm Street School in East Machias and am a student at UMM. I am looking forward to more intellectually stimulating and inspirational blogs here. The posts seem to be very encouraging and uplifting as well as challenging. God is good!
Welcome aboard! You've taken the hardest step ... I look forward to a post from you on our readings.
